I have had a lot of original Japanese works translated into English by a professional. All translations are done by Windii unless otherwise stated.

Takeshi Shudo Translations

Takeshi Shudo was the Pokemon anime's head writer (シリーズ構成, Series Kousei) during the Kanto, Orange Islands and part of the Johto Series. In 2005, AnimeStyle commissioned a weekly column from Shudo about anime screenwriting. He talked at length about the various projects he worked on, including Pokemon. His columns give a rare and candid look into the atmosphere behind-the-scenes of early Pokemon.

Pokemon Story

Pokemon Story is a book co-written by Kenji Hatakeyama and the Pokemon anime's executive producer, Masakazu Kubo. It contains a wealth of information about the early history of Pokemon, from the games, to the TCG, to the anime. Other segments of the book have been translated by Dogasu's Backpack about the process of localizing Pokemon, and the staff's reaction to the infamous Porygon Incident.

This Is Animation: The Wishing Star of Seven Nights — Jirachi Interviews

This Is Animation is a series of promotional magazines published by Shogakukan, the main funding entity behind the Pokemon movies. The edition produced for the sixth Pokemon movie has staff interviews with Director Kunihiko Yuyama, writers Hideki Sonoda and Yukiyoshi Ohashi, and executive producer Masakazu Kubo.
